June 20th: Jim Donak - 'How to Train and Not get Hurt'
Sunday 10:00m - 6:00pm

It is common for people to train without really understanding how to differentiate between pain and injury or how to adapt exercises to their specific needs. This three-part workshop addresses these concerns.

The first part is a lecture and discussion of neuromuscular anatomy, basic biomechanics, mechanisms for injury, and injury management.

The second part presents how to structure an efficient and effective workout and perform an appropriate warm-up.

The third part includes skill assessment in terms of foundation skills (sensorimotor, strength and range of motion) and the customization and practice of exercises which develop these skills. These approaches are used in the Extreme Stretching classes (please refer to the Extreme Stretching calls for more details)

Be prepared to take notes, and work hard.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

Workshop is limited to 8 people

Cost- $120 if enrolled before noon Friday, June 18th

$150 if enrolled after noon Friday, June 18th

Note- Minimum- 4 people enrolled by noon Friday, June 18th or workshop will be cancelled.
