SUMMER CIRCUS DAY CAMP 2008
June 16 - August 22
Registration begins February, 2008

Circus Center, home of the San Francisco School of Circus Arts, Pickle Circus, Clown Conservatory and San Francisco Youth Circus, is pleased to offer Summer Circus Day Camp for 10 weeks this summer! All children ages 7 – 15 years old are invited to sign up for one or more weeks. Circus Day Camp is a fun, safe, supportive and challenging environment where children explore the many skills that create the Circus Arts.

It is essential to us that each child at Circus Day Camp achieves self-confidence, gains an awareness of the power and potential they posses, and develops a love and understanding of Circus. Some of the fun will include learning acrobatics, clowning, juggling, stilt walking, rolling globe, tight wire, rolla bolla, trampoline, flying trapeze, aerial arts, circus music and much, much more! Our instructors have extensive experience teaching children circus arts as well as performance backgrounds that include clowning, acrobatics, juggling and more. Teaching assistants and junior camp counselors also have multiple years of training in circus skills as well as some performance experience.

We have scheduled five camp show weeks this summer during Weeks 2,4, 6, 8, and 10. In addition to learning the various circus skills, students enrolled in show weeks will get to share their excitement and skill with family and friends at the end of the week in an hour-long show, complete with music, choreography, costumes, make-up and ringmaster! All students will be included in group acts and will be involved in the creative process. The shows will take place on the Friday of each show week at 2:00 pm in our main gym.

- The day begins at 9:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm.
- Children may be dropped off between 8:30 am and 9:00 am for curbside check-in.
- After Camp Care is available from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm for $75 per child per week.
- There is a discount for signing up for multiple weeks of camp, and a discount for each additional sibling attending.
- Children must be at least 7 years old to attend camp, or they must be starting the second grade this fall and turning 7 this year.
